
Richard D. Paulsen, MD
A native of Houston, Texas, Dr. Paulsen is a 1986 graduate of Vanderbilt University and a 1990 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. After an internship and Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida in 1995, he completed fellowship training in Neuroradiology and Interventional Neuroradiology at Vanderbilt Medical Center and Stanford University Medical Center in 1998.
Rick has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology. He is a senior member in the American Society of Neuroradiology, the American Society of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology, and the American Association of Neurosurgeons.
Dr. Paulsen has expertise in Neuroradiology as well as Interventional Neuroradiology where his interests include cerebral aneurysm treatment, AVM embolization, and cerebrovascular revascularization and stenting in both the intra- and extracranial circulation.
